After the accident in Herman, Missouri, the Missouri Highway Patrol sent out a “blue alert.”
MSHP found out that the suspect was a white man driving a black 2021 Jeep Wrangler with the license plate RF5A0P.
MSHP didn’t say what caused the blue alert. In Hermann, Missouri, a blue alert has been out for the past hour. Kenneth Lee Simpson, who is 35 years old, is thought to have shot and killed the two officers before running away. It wasn’t clear if he was on foot or in a jeep at first.
The shooting took place at a Casey’s restaurant in Hermann, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
Look for a white man with the license plate RF5A0P who is driving a black 2014 Jeep Wrangler. He is dangerous and is thought to have killed or seriously hurt an officer.
Blue alerts are sent out to warn police of threats against them and to help catch people who kill or seriously hurt officers.
