The DJI Osmo Action 3 will be released before the GoPro Hero 11 Black and Hero 11 Black Mini. It has a larger front-facing touchscreen and better image stabilisation than its predecessor, the Action 2. The DJI Osmo Action 3 is designed differently than the Action 2, and the majority of their accessories are incompatible. Its larger 1,770mAh battery provides up to 160 minutes of activity. Even in -20oC temperatures, it can record 4K videos for up to 150 minutes. Even without a dedicated case, the Osmo Action 3 has a waterproof rating of 16m.
The Action 3 weighs 145g and has a 1.4-inch front display in addition to its primary 2.25-inch rear display. A f/2.8 aperture powers the new DJI action camera. The sensor is identical to that of the Action 2, but DJI employs the RockSteady 3.0 software to provide superior image stabilisation. The Osmo Action 3 features a quick-release design, three built-in microphones within the camera, and three in the front touchscreen module. Like its predecessor, the Action 3 includes HorizonSteady and HorizonBalancing.
The DJI Osmo Action 3 Standard Combo pack comes with one battery, a quick-release adapter mount, and an adhesive base. The Adventure Combo pack includes a 1.5m extension rod, a multifunctional battery case, an extra set of rubber lens protectors, and two additional batteries, among other things. The Standard Combo Pack costs $329, while the Adventure Combo Pack costs more. The DJI Osmo Action 3 can be purchased now, but deliveries are expected to begin by the end of September or early October.
