Five people are wanted for beating and ab*sing a 5-year-old boy

Images of four women torturing and $*xu@lly abusing a 5-year-old girl at her home in the Venezuelan city of Barquisimeto, Lara state, have caused a stir. The act was quickly condemned by the public, who also wanted the authorities to act quickly.

Faced with pressure from social media users, prosecutor Tarek William Saab said he would take over the case and start a preliminary investigation into the four women and one man who had to document the facts.

Commissioner Douglas Rico said that when he moved to the urbanization of La Sábila, Mz. O5, room 19, he found that the perpetrator’s home had been completely destroyed. It turned out that the inspection team went to a different family to find out where the problem happened. The house was empty, and both homes belonged to the victim’s grandmother, Yelitza Páez, also known as Chicho.

Attorney General Tarek William Saab said that he would charge those involved with culpable homicide, serious bodily harm, child s*xul ab*se, and criminal association, for which they will seek a sentence of 30 years in prison. It is unknown where they are right now. He said that the child’s parents would also be punished because they “left him to the mercy of these hired criminals.”

On the other hand, he said on the Internet that the raid happened in the house where the child was abused, but no one lived there. The suspects have probably left Venezuela, so Interpol has put out a red notice to catch them.

Aldimar Alina Lucena Páez (age 25) and Katherin Solcari Lucena Páez (age 30), their aunts, were named as the people on trial. Yelitza Elena Páez, who was also part of the attack and is 54 years old, will be her grandmother. The identities of the other two have not yet been found.

While the investigation is still going on, there is no information about where children under 5 years old are or how they are doing.

From January 1 to August 15, 2022, the Public Ministry got 632 reports of pedophilia, according to prosecutor Saab. Most records are found in Zulia, Táchira, Carabobo, Caracas, and Miranda.
