Razer Edge 5G, with Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 and 6.8-inch AMOLED 144Hz display

During RazerCon 2022, Razer made the Razer Edge 5G announcement. It is a portable game console with 5G capabilities that was created in collaboration with Qualcomm and Verizon. All AAA games, including Android apps and titles like Fortnite and Rocket League Sideswipe, which can be played using the pre-installed Epic Games launcher, are compatible with it.

Users of the Razer Edge 5G will also have access to cloud streaming services like Xbox Cloud Gaming and NVIDIA GeForce Now (currently in testing). Additionally, it features remote play capabilities that grant complete access to PC libraries via Steam Link, Moonlight, Parsec, and Xbox. Check out the Razer Edge 5G’s specifications below.

Specifications and features of the Razer Edge 5G

The 6.8-inch AMOLED screen on the Razer Edge produces a Full HD+ resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. The phone is powered by the Snapdragon G3x Gen 1 mobile platform and has 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM. A battery with a capacity of 5,000mAh powers the gaming console.

In addition to a microSD card slot for additional storage, the Edge 5G has 128 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Android 12 OS will be used to run it. The front of the device contains a 5-megapixel camera. It has connectivity technologies like Wi-Fi 6E, mmWave Verizon 5G, sub-6GHz, and Bluetooth 5.2. It weighs 263.8 grammes and has dimensions of 259.7 x 84.5 x 10.83mm.

The Razer Kishi V2 Pro controller, which has a 3.5mm audio connector and superior haptic feedback, is included with the Razer Edge 5G.

Cost and accessibility of the Razer Edge 5G

Reservations for the Razer Edge 5G are now being taken for $399 in the US. The Razer Edge Founders Edition costs $499 and includes the Razer Hammerhead True Wireless headphones. In January 2023, it will be sold for that price. At the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2023, the business will display it.
