The Redmi Note 12 is built around a 6.67-inch Samsung AMOLED display with a centre punch-hole and a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels (FHD+), a refresh rate of 120Hz, and a touch sampling rate of 240Hz. The panel has a contrast ratio of 450,000,000:1, a peak brightness of 1200 nits, 4096 levels of dimming, and a DCI-P3 colour gamut.

The phone is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 chipset and has LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage. It starts up with Android 12 and MIUI 13.
On the back, it has a dual camera system with a 48MP main camera and a 2MP depth sensor. It includes an 8MP camera on the front for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone has an IP53 rating and comes with a fingerprint sensor on the side, an IR blaster, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. It has a number of ways to connect, such as dual SIM, 5G, dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 5.1, GNSS, and USB Type-C.
