Renault’s SUV will compete with Mahindra Thar
According to Renault, this will be the most challenging electric vehicle to date. The manufacturer has also stated that this vehicle will prove to be quite useful and beneficial on off-road excursions.
The car’s front has been given an SUV-like appearance. The automobile has a sizable front bumper with air vents. Speaking of its side aspect, the automobile has huge alloy wheels and off-road tyres.
While the door has a flash handle, the ORVM has been replaced with a rear-focusing camera whose display is mounted inside the cabin. The business installed a spare wheel on its roof to give it a powerful off-road appeal. The spare wheel is mounted on the roof.
The Renault 4 looks little, but it has a lot of power. For this, the business used a 42kWh nickel-cobalt-manganese battery that was mounted to the vehicle’s floor. This vehicle has a 402 km range on a full charge.
On the car’s front axle is where the electric motor is mounted. The car can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in about 10 seconds thanks to the strength of its powertrain.
Later on, the manufacturer may also release a 4-wheel drive version of this vehicle. Let us inform you that 80 lakh units of the original Renault 4 have already been sold by the company.
The car’s wheelbase is 2,570 mm and its overall length is 4060 mm. Compared to the Renault Captur SUV, it is slightly smaller. The car has more inside room because it lacks an engine and even a gearbox. The manufacturer has not yet disclosed information on its inside.
If the Renault 4 is introduced in India, it will face off-road SUV competitors like the Mahindra Thar and Force Gurkha. There isn’t an off-road electric SUV available right now to compete with it in the Indian market.
