A student at Stephen F. Austin State University named Graylan Paul Spring has died. When this news got out on the Internet, many people were shocked and sent their condolences. Graylan was hurt in a car accident on Friday, January 20, 2023, in the afternoon on US Highway 59, just north of Corrigan. When Graylan died, he was only 19 years old. In a press release, the police said that Graylan was taken to the hospital by helicopter and then moved to the Conroe Regional Medical Centre. He died this past Saturday, January 21, 2023.
In a statement, the University said that the whole community is saddened by the tragic death of a much-loved player and that both Grayland and Micha’s were hurt in more than one way. Micah McAfoose, the other student who died, was also driving south on Friday in a 2007 Nissan Versa when he got into an accident. He was taken to HCA Houston Health Care Conroe, but he died there from his injuries.
When he was taken to the hospital, he was said to be in critical condition. Micah was in the accident when an 18-wheeler turned the wrong way and his car hit the trailer of the truck. The University said that there will be a candlelight vigil at the Homer Bryce Stadium in Nacogdoches on Monday, January 23, 2023, at 7:30 pm. Later, the University also talked about Micah’s death. They also said that Graylan and Micah were special people who meant a lot to the SFA and its football and baseball teams.
They also asked everyone at the university and anyone who is reading to pray for the families of the people who died because they are going through a hard time.
