The Xiaomi 12T & Xiaomi 12T Pro: Design, Features, Price, and More

In advance of the launch event next week, Xiaomi’s 12T lineup has mostly been exposed through leaks and rumours (October 4). A pair of smartphones, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro, are expected to be part of the forthcoming series.

For its phones, among other things, the business has previously verified the new 200MP photographic technology.

Design of Xiaomi 12T & Xiaomi 12T Pro

As the brand’s first high-end smartphones, the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro will be released. Both phones will have designs that, according to numerous leaked renders, are quite reminiscent of the Xiaomi 12S series.

A center-aligned punch-hole selfie camera will be located on the front of the devices. Each device boasts tiny bezels and flat displays. While the left side will be vacant, the right side will have the power button and the volume rocker.

They have a rectangular camera island on the back that houses the main camera in a large compartment up top and two smaller cameras in a smaller compartment on the bottom.

One of the most exquisite camera modules we’ve seen in the last few years is included in Xiaomi’s most recent flagship phones, which is difficult to dispute.

Now, if we talk about the material and build quality, both the Xiaomi 12T and 12T Pro might have a classic glass sandwich design with little metal frames on the sides that get bigger at the top and bottom.

Presentation and Details

The 6.67-inch, 120Hz-refresh OLED display on the standard Xiaomi 12T has a standard resolution. The 6.7-inch AMOLED display on the Xiaomi 12T Pro, in contrast, has a 120Hz refresh rate.

The base model is reportedly powered by MediaTek’s Dimensity 8100 ultra chipset, an upper mid-range smartphone SoC with four quick ARM Cortex-A78 cores running at up to 2.85 GHz and four effective Cortex-A55 cores running at up to 2 GHz. 8 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage will be used in conjunction with the processor.

However, Qualcomm’s most recent and finest Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC may be used in the Xiaomi 12T Pro. 256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage and 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM will be included. A gadget with 8 GB of RAM may also be available in some nations.

A 5,000mAh battery with 120W fast charging functionality will be present in both mobile devices. They’ll utilise the MIUI 13 skin on top of the Android 12 OS to run software-wise.

Additional features include a powerful cooling system, an IR blaster, two speakers with Harman Kardon tuning, and a USB-C port.

The new Xiaomi 12T series will feature cameras as its main selling point. The 200MP camera technology will be available, the Chinese company has announced. It might, however, be restricted to the Pro version.

Debut of Xiaomi 12T

In addition to OIS, an 8P lens, and 16-into-1 pixel binning, the Xiaomi 12T Pro will reportedly sport a 200MP camera with a 1/1.22-inch sensor.

The camera will also have a 2MP macro lens and an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens. A 20MP selfie camera might be on the front of the device.

A 108MP primary sensor with an 8MP ultra-wide and 2MP macro lens could be found in the standard model. The Xiaomi 12T also includes a 20MP front-facing sensor for the selfie camera.

Prices to be Expected

Although the forthcoming smartphones’ prices are still unknown, we now have a reasonable notion of what they might cost owing to tipsters. The 8/128GB Xiaomi 12T model is expected to cost roughly €580 ($568/ Rs. 46,412) in Europe, according to a recent leak by a well-known tipster. According to reports, the 8/256GB model will cost €630 ($617/Rs. 50,413).

Starting at €770 ($754/Rs. 61,616) for the 8/256GB option, the more expensive Xiaomi 12T Pro will be accessible. The 12/256GB variant costs €800, which is about $784 or Rs. 64,000. It should be noted that the prices listed above are for countries in Europe. India and other Asian markets can provide a lower pricing.
