On Mother’s Day, May 9, 2021, the body of 13-year-old Tristyn Bailey was found hours before his family reported him missing. She was repeatedly stabbed and cut.
Aiden Fucci, who was only 14 years old at the time, was charged with first-degree murder in Bailey’s death. February 2023, right before jury voting starts. Fucci’s plea was changed. He could now go to jail for at least 40 years or for life.
Tristyn Bailey was one of Stacy and Forrest Bailey’s five kids. She lives in Durbin Crossing, which is in the northwest of St. John’s County. She goes to Patriot Oaks Academy and cheers for the school.

Aiden At the time of the murder, Sean Fucci was 14 years old and went to Patriot Oaks. He lived near Bailey. Fucci’s girlfriend and other friends told detectives that he often talked about killing people and said he planned to drag a random person into the woods and stab them. Even though records of people under 18 are kept secret, Seventh Circuit District Attorney RJ Larizza said Fucci has never been in trouble with the law.
What happened to Tristin Bailey?
Police records say that Fucci asked a friend for Bailey’s phone number the night she was killed. He convinced her to leave the house to meet a friend, and video from an apartment building shows Fucci and Bailey going on Saddlestone Drive, near where her body was later found at the end of the detention pool, east Walk. After 1 hour and 45 minutes, the same film seems to show Fucci walking back alone in shoes.
An unredacted prosecutor’s statement says that Tristyn 114 had “stab or laceration wounds to the head, neck, shoulders, arms, hands, and back.” This was found by an autopsy. The doctor said that at least 49 of those were self-defense injuries.
