While most Americans celebrated their well-deserved victory, Jenna Ellis attacked both athletes in a tweet. Ellis is one of 63 election challenges that Donald Trump’s lawyers lost during his reelection campaign.

Jenna Ellis referred to Simone Biles and Megan Rapinoe as “fellow losers” on July 8, 2022, expressing her displeasure with the Presidential Medal of Freedom honorees.

She got a lot of backlash on Twitter from people who found her statements disrespectful and absurd, despite the fact that both ladies are excellent athletes who have won five Olympic gold medals between them. As of today, the tweet has garnered over 750 retweets and 4.8K likes.

Simone Biles has 19 World Championship gold medals to go along with her four Olympic golds. She the youngest person alive today to have been awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom.

Megan Rapinoe, on the other hand, has one Olympic gold medal from the 2012 London Summer Games with the US Women’s Soccer team. In 2019, she won the Ballon d’Or Feminin and voted the “Best FIFA Women’s Player” in the same year.

Ellis went on to call Rapinoe a “boorish unAmerican thug” and Biles a “selfish quitter.”

Ellis calls Biles a “selfish quitter” for withdrawing from four event finals she had qualified for in the Tokyo Summer Olympics 2020 last summer. The top gymnast withdrew from the competition due to mental health issues, and USA Gymnastics backed her choice with the following statement:

In her Twitter message, Ellis, ironically, said that Rapinoe and Biles are “not role models.” Rapinoe chastised for acting like a “bully” for ordering her teammates to kneel during the national anthem. Kneeling during the playing of the national anthem in the United States is a protest against the country’s widespread racism.

Because of her 63 legal defeats, Twitterati did not back down, and Ellis received a strong backlash and mocked. In response, Biles inquired about Ellis in a tweet. Biles’ tweet has 188.2K likes and 18.3K retweets. Rapinoe, for her part, has yet to respond.
