She couldn’t recall if her long-time friend Katherine “Katie” Goldstein still lived in Highland Park or had relocated closer to Wisconsin.
She texted her buddy since she hadn’t heard from Goldstein in a while or seen any updates on her social media profiles. Goldstein eventually identified as one of those who shot on July 4.
Williams Mbengue sobbed and lost her voice after learning of Goldstein’s death through The Post.
The two men initially met decades ago during Williams Mbengue’s first work at Cunard Line in New York City. She and Goldstein met while working in the tourism industry and touring tourists around the city.
