On August 11, at 7 p.m. (local time), Xiaomi will conduct a major launch event in China. The Xiaomi MIX Fold, the company’s first foldable smartphone, was launched last year. The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will be released tomorrow by the firm. A graphic depicting the phone’s back design is currently making the rounds on Weibo. At the same time, a Weibo user revealed the device’s main specs.
The poster for the Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 suggests that it will have a different back appearance than its predecessor. The gadget comprises a horizontal camera layout with a triple camera unit suited for Leica and an LED flash. The device’s right edge appears to be equipped with a volume controller and a power button incorporated with a fingerprint scanner.

The Xiaomi MIX Fold 2 will have a 6.56-inch Samsung E5 AMOLED display with a Full HD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120Hz. It will sport an 8.02-inch foldable OLED Eco2 screen with a 2.5K resolution, a refresh rate of 120Hz, UTG (Ultra-Thin Glass), and an under-display camera on the interior.
There is no information available about the MIX Fold 2’s front camera. It will sport a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary camera, a 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera, and an 8-megapixel telephoto camera with 2x optical zoom as its back camera arrangement. The gadget will ship with the MIUI 13-flavored Android 12 operating system preloaded.
The MIX Fold 2 will have a 4,500 mAh battery and will enable 67W rapid charging. It is unknown if the smartphone will allow wireless charging. The foldable phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU. Previously, the gadget was shown at TENAA in several configurations, including 12 GB RAM + 512 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 1 TB storage.
When unfurled, the MIX Fold 2 has a thickness of 5.4mm. It measures 11.2mm when folded. The gadget weights around 262 grammes.
